The Home page is the main page of your website. Every person that types in your domain name will land on your homepage.

Some people are tempted to name the home page "Main Page" or other names. But the standard is to call it the home page. People looking for your main page will be looking for the "Home" link.

It is important when building your homepage you include links to all the major sections of your website. People will key on your homepage to find all the other features of your website.

Since websites can become very complex with thousands of pages, it is extemely important to make the site easy to navigate.

Make sure you outline all the key elements of your products or services on the home page.

Include wordy descriptions that will key off the search indexes and get you placed in the search engines database.

Make the homepage attractive. This is the front door of your business and it is the first impression that your customer will get. You get one chance at a first impression, don't blow it!

Do not include forms or requests to join your mailing list on the home page. Use the homepage to feature specials, coupons or limited tikme offers.
